Yes! Admission to BareRoots is completely free, but we do require tickets to help us plan for attendance. Grab your ticket online ahead of time to make sure you’re counted.

On Saturday, September 19, 2025, from 12-7PM, we’ll be gathering at the historic Thornden Park Amphitheater in Syracuse, NY. It’s a beautiful outdoor venue with plenty of green space and a single main stage for all performances.

You may check in as early as 11:30AM! Music kicks off at 12:00PM and runs through the evening.

• There is limited public parking at the water tower via the Clarendon St and Thornden Park Dr entrance. Other public parking is available along Ostrom Ave, and in the Westcott Neighborhood.

• Do NOT park on the grass at Thornden Park.

• If parking in the neighborhood surrounding Thornden Park, obey all traffic signs. This year’s festival is an odd parking day.

• Bike racks are available. We highly encourage biking or walking if you’re local!

• Accessible parking is available at the Thornden Park pool house for guests displaying a valid ADA parking permit. Please email logistics@barerootsfestival.com if you require any special accommodations or have any questions or concerns.

BareRoots is all ages and family-friendly. Please note that alcohol will be available for purchase on site.

BareRoots is rain or shine. Bring a poncho or umbrella and keep the good vibes going. Our operations team will monitor the weather and make announcements on-stage and via our Instagram & Facebook pages, so make sure to give us a follow!

Production costs like sound and staging, support accessibility, and create a safe, welcoming space for everyone in our community.

No one on the organizing team is being paid — this is a volunteer-led effort from the ground up.

Any additional funds raised will go toward next year’s event.

No, there is no public transit directly to the amphitheater.

We recommend:

• A blanket, lawn chair, or hammock

• Sunscreen & sunglasses

• A water bottle

Yes, seating is “bring your own.” We encourage you to bring:

• Blankets

• Lawn chairs

• Hammocks

For everyone’s safety and comfort, please do not bring:

• Glass containers or bottles

• Outside alcohol

• Coolers

• Oversized bags or large backpacks (small personal bags are permitted and subject to inspection)

• Fireworks or grills

• Weapons of any kind

• Drones or selfie sticks

• Tents, canopies, or large shade structures

• Unattended children

Yes, pets are welcome as long as they are on leash, well-behaved, and cleaned up after.

Yes! Local food trucks will be on-site along with our festival partner, Middle Ages Brewing, serving beer.

No. Outside food or drinks are not permitted inside the amphitheater, with the exception of unopened water bottles. Don’t worry, there will be plenty of food and drink vendors on site to keep you fueled.

Yes! Our friends at Middle Ages Brewing will be serving alcohol during the festival.
